The Neighborhood
In the heart of Tempe and close to everything! The house is a few blocks from the I-60 freeway. It is walking distance to Wholefoods, Starbucks, Scramble’s breakfast, Menchie’s frozen yogurt, Flo’s New Asian Cuisine, Alamo Draft House Luxury Dining Cinema, Bowling and Pure Barre. Also within walking distance you can enjoy dining at the Watershed with live music on the lake as well as Pier 54, which boasts American eats on casual waterside digs, jazz and blues concerts!
Getting to and from The Urban Farm is easy! It is a short walking distance to the FREE Blue Orbit line shuttle, which will take you to ASU, Mill Avenue District, and Downtown Tempe. A quick transfer will take you to Tempe Town Lake and Old Town Scottsdale. This shuttle also links to the Phoenix Metro Light Rail and the Scottsdale Trolley.
Baseball
Phoenix is home to half of the MLBs Spring training facilities. Spring training facilities for the Chicago Cubs, Oakland A’s, Los Angeles Angels and San Francisco Giants are all within 10 miles.
Outdoor Adventures
The Farm is very close to Tempe Town Lake where there is rowing, boating, paddle boarding, fishing, running and walking tracks. Also, the Phoenix Zoo, Desert Botanical Gardens, Big Surf Waterpark, and Papago Park are all within a short drive!
A Little Further
There are so many fun things to do around Arizona. You can search for gold at Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine (35min drive), Take a day trip to the Grand Canyon (3hr 40min drive). View the natural beauty of Sedona by foot with beautiful hiking, on horseback with several trails, by air with helicopter tours, or simply cool off in the natural waterslides. (2hrs). If you want to visit the ghost town of Bumble Bee you can see a little history of Arizona in the gold rush and stage coach lines (1hr 15min drive). The Farm’s easy freeway access is perfect for day trips!
Golf
Golfers! You’re only minutes away from several world class golf courses, including the beautiful Papago Golf Course. Other notable courses include Troon North, We Ko Pa, Quintero Golf Club, Wickenburg Ranch Golf & Social Club, Ak-Chin Southern Dunes, The Boulders Resort, The WigWam, TPC Scottsdale, and The Raven Golf Club at South Mountain. You are also only a 30min drive from the annual Phoenix Open!
Hiking
If hiking is your passion, you’ll enjoy being only a few minutes away from the beautiful hiking trails of South Mountain where you can hike, bike and ride more than 51 miles of trails. You are also close to Tom's Thumb Trail, Pinnacle Peak, Papago Park Trails, Lost Dog Wash Trailhead Trails, Flatiron Summit via Siphon Draw, Mormon Loop Trail, Camelback Mountain, Echo Trail, Piestewa Peak, Wind Cave Trail, and Brown's Ranch Trail System.
